IS THE AMBETTER PLAN I PURCHASED CHANGING?
No, not at this time. On May 4, a new health care bill called the American Health Care Act (AHCA), was approved by the House. The AHCA is intended to change some aspects of the current Affordable Care Act. However, the new bill has additional legislative and administrative processes remaining, including review by the Senate.
As an Ambetter member, your health plan benefits and any financial help you may be receiving to lower your monthly premium amount, are currently in effect for 2017. We encourage you to continue utilizing your coverage as you have been and paying your monthly premium if you have a premium payment to ensure you don’t have any gaps in coverage.

IF I DON'T HAVE COVERAGE DO I STILL HAVE TO PAY A PENALTY?
At this time, most Americans still need to have health insurance and could pay a tax penalty if they do not have coverage.
SHOULD I KEEP PAYING MY PREMIUMS?
